Last weekend we decided to drive out of the city to Kabini. On our way back on the Mysore Highway, I spotted this car, whose number plate was completely written in vernacular! Aren’t car numbers or for that matter vehicle number plates supposed to be displayed in English too? This is an obvious flouting of rules! Imagine such a car speeding along on the national highway.
I just wondered what happens if God forbid the car is involved in a hit and run? Even if I were to witness the accident, I will not be able to report the car…because it all appears Latin to me.

Who do you think is to blame more in this case-the owner of the car for obviously flouting rules or the RTO for letting such a car on the roads?
