Uganda is strongly moving forward integrating the use of information communication technologies (ICTs) in every day life. A strong indication of this trend is the recent availing of the National voter’s register on the electoral commission website.

A previously tedious process involving registered voters to get back to the points of registration and shuffle through the vast number of the register pages looking for their names is now a few clicks away. Also previously, only would be allowed to check for their name and not for their family or friends but with the beauty of the online register, a person can check the correctness of their family members within a few minutes.
It is indeed a great resource which can further be improved to provide users with better information and easy to share. It is of course with a few challenges in its current state with are listed on this blog.
With the use of innovations like these, vote rigging will soon become an issue of the past.
