Danish newspapers have republished Prophet Muhammad’s caricatures showing their commitment to freedom of speech after an alleged plot to kill one of the cartoonists, Westergaard, surfaced. The Danish media seems to stand united against fanaticism; however, it can unleash a new cycle of turmoil and rekindle the fiery debate over free speech and Islam that took Europe by storm in 2006.
