Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra decided to celebrate the spirit of 60th Independence Day in an altogether different way. And for the same unique celebrations she left all her busy commitments to be with army personals and visited them at camps in Tenga, Tejpur near the Assam and Arunachal Pradesh border.
The actress got involved with the jawans and learnt some army training sessions from them. Being a part of independent India she said:
We have freedom of choice, speech and the independence to dream and actually achieve. The freedom to be who and what we want. I salute our forefathers who have given us this chance.
The actress has brought memorable moments with her like the bonfire, hanging around with army people, their daring experiences from two-days stay at the camps.
Priyanka had a great time as she celebrated the Independence Day with the army and was unaware of the fact that this event would turn out to be a nostalgic for her.
Prinyka uplifted jawan’s morale and entertained them. She sang patriotic songs from Hindi classic movies and mesmerized them with Kar chale hum fida jaan aur tan saathiyo, abb tumhare hawale watan saathiyo.
