5 Construction Workers Found Beheaded In Mogadishu

There really are no words to describe Islamist extremist factions like Al-Shabaab and the Taliban and any others of their violent ilk. They’re certainly not human, and calling them animals is too civilized a word, since some animals have far more respect for other animals then those religious fanatics do for their fellow human beings. And the more you read about their despicable exploits the less you can tolerate them.

Although no-one has claimed responsibility, yet, Al-Shabaab is suspected of slaughtering five construction workers, who were found beheaded in the section of Mogadishu (the capital of Somalia) that is held by Islamist extremists. Their only crime was to have helped build the parliament building.

They had been missing for five days.

“We suspect they were executed by al-Shabab militants because they had in the past received phone threats accusing them of helping to construct the former Somali parliament premise,” said a resident who spoke on condition of anonymity because of fears for his safety.

And they’re probably right since groups like Al-Shabaab love to indulge in barbaric punishments like beheadings, stonings, amputations and the like. They’ve been known to stone people for adultery, but helping to construct a building warrants one’s head chopped off? Their ignorance and lack of humanity makes me shudder. But apparently, these barbarians consider anyone who collaborates in any way with the UN-backed government or the African Union as apostates, even if it’s just building a parliament.

It’s ironic that they would consider certain people apostates and yet so many Muslims consider them not true Muslims. And even though human rights groups and others condemn their actions,

“To slaughter a human being as an animal is a flagrant and brutal violation against international law,” said Ahmed Mohamed Ali, the head of a Somali human rights group. “Those behind such remorseless and shocking attacks will be brought to justice one day.”

they continue slowly taking over Somalia. I can’t imagine any of them will ever be brought to justice, if they rule most of Somalia and no-one seems to be able to stop them from implementing their draconian rules and regulations. I fear Somalia is a lost cause, the way things are going.
