The moment I see newspaper and News channels flooded with the content such as Hurriyat said this, they want this and whatnot. The question that strikes my mind is that what is the Hurriyat? How does it stand for Kashmir?
No Doubt from the time I gained my senses, I have been hearing that Hurriyat is our representative-I mean representative of all those who belong to J&K.
They draw attention most of the time to themselves by professing that they represent all the people of Jammu & Kashmir, but they just seem to be a collection of opportunistic leaders who have hijacked the peace process of the state.
I think, first, Hurriyat is itself puzzled – who do they represent? People, Terrorists, India or Pakistan? Actually, they belong to nobody; it’s phony organization that changes its agenda like a chameleon.
Since they refused to contest elections so they surely do not represent J&K citizens as in J&K voters. Terrorists have changed directions of Hurriyat many times, are in total no say-so with them. The Hurriyat doesn’t even represent them and if they represent Pakistan, then why are they here as in why are we and our government listening to them?
If by any chance, the government is even thinking to lend ear to them, it will be idiotic on their part.
Second point is: it’s a no profit organization for India as it doesn’t agree with what we say. It cannot sway Pakistan, cannot win over the terrorists too, last but not the least, it has confirmed ample of times that it has no understanding about the psyche of the people.
Last point is: the Hurriyat is itself very confused about what its target point, its agenda is. They have just one slogan that they represent people for what, it is yet to be decided by them. Funny!
They make a lot of clamor -‘talk to us’. I am baffled: what to talk and why? They have no agenda, represent no body, so why ?
Just pay no heed to Hurriyat.
