The Curriculum Excuse
“I didn’t grasp what chapters to browse for the test”. So diplomatic a way of saying that you have been studying the wrong chapters, isn’t it? You have been ill informed about the test and you only realised it at the last moment that you had to study. This is another famously used excuse by the pretty girls to get away from the scolding.
Passing on the Blame
“My friend didn’t set the timer and that I was late for the test”. Of course, you will be told to set the timer yourself and then accordingly bring it about. Another way of passing on the blame is the famous – “My backpack got taken many days past and that I lost all my notes”. Again, you’ll be told to get copies of notes from other students.
The Miscalculation
“I hoped that Dr. Lukefahr wouldn’t raise an issue from that a part of my notes”. So, you studied something you thought will never show up in the exam? Yet, it came in and you don’t know what to do? You said so to your parents but you are being told to be ready. It’s a pattern by now, isn’t it?
The Dog ate my Homework Excuse
Very often, one passes off the blame to their pets. Some of the girls go to the extent of saying that a lizard fell on their notes. However, animals aren’t the only victims of the blame game. Sometimes, the excuse is something like, my notes got stuck in the car and the keys got left inside.
There are a host of other things that girls do such as feigning sick, blaming it on the periods or saying that the car broke down on the way to the test and she got late. There is no end to the excuses a girl can come up with. After all, it is no rumour that girls are smart people.
