In a tragic incident, former Delhi chief minister and BJP leader Sahib Singh Verma died in a road accident on Saturday. He was 64.

The accident happened on Saturday afternoon in Rajasthan, when his Tata Safari had a head-on collision with a truck on the Delhi-Jaipur highway on 2:30 PM.

Sahib Singh was going to Sikar and his vehicle collided with the truck near Sahajahanpur in Alwar district.

According to the report, the vehicle was badly damaged and four other people were critically injured. The injured people were also present with him in the vehicle.

The report says that the vehicle was so badly damaged that Verma’s body was still inside the vehicle till 3 PM. Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje immediately rushed to accident spot when she came to know about the accident.

Sahib Singh Verma was a respectable political leader in Delhi and enjoyed great mass support in the political circle. It would be definitely a major loss to the BJP party unit in Delhi and personal loss to many leaders.
