The experiment of Patna’s super 30 coaching was in news again just after the IIT results. 28 students among the best 30 students of this coaching institute had cracked the IIT entrance examination.

A well-known mathematician Anand Kumar and IPS officer Abhyanand is reposnsible to run the institution and to select and teach the students to go good ranks in IIT entrance.

The year 2007 is the fifth year in a row when the institute has managed to send the students from poor and backward families in the country’s premier engineering institutes.

The International media has also published report on the success of ‘Super 30’ to crack India’s one of the toughest entrance examination. The New York Times had published a report on it and a Japanese TV channel made a documentary on it.

However, Anand Kumar and Abhayanand had formally abandoned the ‘Super 30’ in an emotional outburst on Saturday evening.

Both gentlemen were looking very upset when they saw the other coaching institutes hijacked three of their successful students and introduced them as their own to the chief minister, Nitish Kumar.

Visibly upset Kumar and Abhayanand announced that they were much frustrated at the way the bogus coaching centres bought off their students in a shameful manner.

Anand Kumar said:

We have failed in our mission. Abhyanand told media persons: Today, I have lost faith in humanity. Several successful students today went to meet the chief minister. Three of Super 30 students were introduced to him as students from other coaching institutes.

However, they did not disclose the name of the coaching institute. Later, the three boys have apologized for their act. But, Anand Kumar said that the damage has been done. Super 30 is closed for ever. We are poor and have no resources to check criminals poaching our students.

The decision to close down the “Super 30” has left both students and parents stunned and people and students across the state sent pleas to them to just rethink on the decision.

But, Abhayanand told them:

How can I go on when I am insulted? The media people are coming to me to ask how names of our students figure in the list of other coaching institutes. You should ask society to do something about it. When one gate closes, God opens other gates.
