CNN IBN has reported a story that the public sector undertaking, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is paying the personal bills regarding the expenses of the Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Ram Vilas Paswan. He is also in charge of the Ministry of Steel. The news channel shows the copies of the letters written for the purpose as well as the copies of bills showing the amount too.

The Officer on Special Duty assigned to Paswan, R P Rathi has written a letter to the SAIL Chairman that was asking the SAIL to pay Paswan’s mobile bill. The two bill’s amount was more than Rs 77,000.

There is another letter shown by CNN IBN another letter that has suggested SAIL to purchase a mobile phone worth Rs 24,000 for Paswan’s Additional Private Secretary, Yogendra Paswan.

However, Paswan has denied all the allegations made against him and said that the blames for the mobile bills are false and baseless.

Paswan had a personal trip to Jaipur recently. CNN IBN has reported that SAIL had hired a chartered plane for Rs 1.5 lakh, for Paswan’s visit.

There are some other documents suggesting that the SAIL had spent about Rs 1 crore for the wedding of Paswan’s daughter.

There is a letter shown that is written by Paswan’s Additional Personal Secretary to the SAIL Chairman about the necessities for the marriage.

The SAIL had taken care of the construction of a temporary shed in Paswan’s residence, the construction of a visitor’s room and the purchase of new tiles for the house.

This is not the end of the story of misusing the PSU by the Minister himself. There are some other documents showing that the SAIL pays the diesel bills for Paswan’s official residence, pays the salaries of two private security guards on regular basis and spends Rs 18,000 to maintain the two gardens in the house.

However, Paswan has said it as baseless allegation but the documents are looking as the clear proofs of misusing the public money by the Minister.
