It is Diverse

Yes, the city is located in Maharashtra and hence, a lot of Maharashtrians reside in the city. Yet, it has its fair mix of gujaratis, sardarjis, south Indians, north Indians, Punjabis, Assamese, north easterners and even firangis (foreigners). Such kind of diversity and mixture cannot be found in any other city of India. Thus, it is a city of multiple languages, multiple food items and multicoloured people. No wonder, the city is always so colourful and full of chatter. From banana leaf platters to chicken tikka and paneer tikka everything can be found in this city. It is all the more amazing to see, how people of different descents speak in Marathi.
