The Elections are just round the corner, but the president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, has not yet been able to stop the so-called mole from using Facebook against him. The popular social networking site has been utilized by the mole who calls himself Baba Jukwa to spread news about the corruption of the Zimbabwe government led by Mugabe. Desperate Mugabe has announced a $300,000 reward for someone who gives him exact information about the mole and helps in the identification. The mole has so far revealed a lot of astonishing facts about the president and his corruption. According to Baba Jukwa, President Mugabe has a team of assassins who work under his directives and he is planning to rig the vote on July 31.
Of course the complete truth or hard evidence is missing but the popularity of the Facebook page has been astounding so far. The page created by Baba Jukwa has been flooding with messages from the fans or followers. He has been posting hundreds of reply to the questions and comments. His attacks on Mugabe started some four months previously and in such a short time period he has gathered 239,000 followers on Facebook. It is being suspected that whoever is behind all this is an insider. The information posted under the name Baba Jukwa is of very private nature. He has been taking names of high government officials and ministers and blamed them for certain crimes and for being corrupt. He has also posted the private phone numbers of these people. Things have gone out of hand ever since.
Mugabe is also trying to get the help of Chinese tech experts for finding the person who is behind all this. The way the mole is being supported by commoners seems to have brought a revolution against the long reign of Mugabe and his allies. Till now the efforts of bringing down the Facebook page has failed and the identity of the mole remains a secret. Last month when a government official named Edward Chindori-Chininga got killed in a car accident the mole posted on Facebook pointing at the Zanu –PF and Mugabe as the culprits who planned the accident because Edward leaked their secret ploys. The surprising thing is that even before the people who have went against the president died in strange accidents. The truth behind the accusations brought forth by Baba Jukwa should be looked into and investigated.
