Mosquitoes pose health threat to Indian states, Dengue in Delhi, Chikungunya in Kerala

Dengue has been killed fourteen people in Delhi and 448 cases of Dengue are confirmed in Delhi and near-by areas.

The Delhi Government has called a high-level emergency meeting to control the situation.

The health department, to contain the outbreak, has deployed 2400 officials.

On the other hand, Chikungunya, another mosquito-borne disease, is spreading fear in the south India.

61 people have died in Kerala and some 20,000 people are getting treatment in various hospitals through the state. Most of the affected persons are in the age group 60-90.
