Smuggling of the IMFL from Chandigarh had seen an upsurge during the past few months because of demand from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and some parts of Uttar Pradesh.Liquor was also being smuggled to some parts of Punjab and Haryana from the city.
