“Labour Day or Labor Day is an annual holiday celebrated all over the world that resulted from the labour union movement, to celebrate the economic and social achievements of workers. The majority of countries celebrate Labour Day on May 1, and it is popularly known as May Day and International Workers’ Day.” – Source: Wikipedia.

Fact 1: In Jordan; Labour Day is celebrated on May 1st, almost a day from now, which happens to be a Friday.

Fact 2: In Jordan; Fridays and Saturdays are the official weekend.

Fact 3: Labour Day for this year will coincide with the Jordanian weekend.

Fact 4: Those in charge are not planning to give labour people an extra day off to celebrate their vacation since it already coincided with their weekend, and rules are rules, and 1st of May means 1st of May, and any changes to the set date would change its meaning and the message it carries.

Fact 5: I wasn’t serious about the second part of Fact 4.

Fact 6: I wonder how productive we Jordanian Labour people are, that those in charge feel too bad about letting us make up for our lost Labour Day.

Fact 7: Some people manage to prevail over their own selves with their choices (Laws), and we have to be up to those choices and act productive all year long. A smile on our faces while we’re at it is also recommended 🙂

Fact 8: Happy Labour Day Y’all… Hmmmm… not sure if that should be stated as a fact, but hey, if we believe it’s a fact, it is more likely to happen, isn’t it!!! so I’m going to keep it as it is 😀
