Best known for her Canne’s appearances and rather outspoken ways, Mallika Sherawat is one woman you do not want to mess around with. The posters of Mallika’s upcoming film titled Dirty Politics were released a few days back. In the poster, Mallika is seen wearing nothing by a tricolor garment that is draped seductively across her body. Considering the past where quite a few celebrities had come under harsh criticism for wearing the tricolor on their bodies, this act would surely raise many eyebrows.

In fact, the film’s director KC Bokadia has been receiving opposition from a specific political group, which is pressurizing him to change the film’s poster. Bokadia indicated that a political party in Rajasthan was pressuring him to change the tricolor garment and show it as some other fabric.

In the poster, Mallika can be seen sitting on the roof of an Ambassador car holding a CD in her hand and the tricolor garment wrapped around her body. The Rajasthan Assembly can be seen in the background.

Reports state that Dirty Politics is based on the Bhanwari Devi sex scandal that rocked the entire nation. Mallika would be seen essaying the role of Bhanwari Devi while the film would have other actors like Om Puri, Anupam Kher, Ashotosh Rana, Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff, Rajpal Yadav, Govind Namdev, etc.

Bokadia defended the picture by stating that the garment did not have the Ashoka Chakra and so was not essentially the tricolor Indian flag. He also reiterated the fact that the garment did not specifically point out to the symbol of any political party.

Bokadia further revealed that as a filmmaker, he had used his creativity to put forward an opinion. He also indicated that he has equal respect for all parties and does not belong to any one of them in particular.

Bokadia clarified that according to the guidelines, the poster of Dirty Politics would be reviewed by the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association and would be censored if found provocative.

Mallika Sherawat has courted a controversy yet again with her tricolor act in the posters of her upcoming movie Dirty Picture. With political parties demanding for poster to be changed, we will have to see whether director Bokadia would do away with the tricolor garment or stick to it.
