Kapil Sharma came and conquered television. And yes, he barely saw any competition. With its numerous starry guests and its amazing script and impromptu comedy, Comedy Nights With Kapil has been a breath taker. Now, the man himself has tweeted, “Comedy nights is going off air from September.. V will come back with new characters n new set.. Till den.. Keep smiling :)”
While we are still in a shocker of a state, fans have already expressed despair and disgust at such a decision. Paras Rishi @parasrishi tweeted, “#CNWK going off air? NOOOO. I hope Bankchor is a flop & Kapil Sharma comes back on Television soon!.”
Now with the slew of new shows set to roll out on Colors’ this seems like a planned strategy. However, what I difficult for us to digest is the super hit show going off air at this stage. The sadness at such news is evident with Mridul Rabha @rabha_mridul tweeting, “Sad news for Comedy Nights With Kapil fans.”
Two weeks back, Kapil himself tweeted, “Comedy Nights With Kapil’ Not Going Off Air. Comedy nights is not going off air..Dont worry.. These r just rumours.. I m coz of dis show whatever i m n whrever i m..So js chill.. Love.” This sudden change of stance has bowled us out. Till before this, fans were rejoicing at their fave show being put in its place. Aspi’s Drift had tweeted, “Kapil clears rumours of quitting Comedy Nights.”
The latest news has surprised Ankur Jha as well who took to Twitter saying, “OHH…that’s 🙁 🙁 many a times!!!.” AKSHAY SHAH tweets, “Comedy is the best medicine in the world and no.1 comedian kapil sharma said his show comedy nights off in September.”
We wish Kapil comes back with double bang and that we need not wait too long!
