Although, it is not yet clear whether Vindoo indulged in any spot fixing, the police is checking the details of his conversations and called made to Chennai. 49-year-old Vindoo became popular with his stint in Big Boss. He also won the reality show in that season. Currently, he is a socialite who happens to bag minor roles in Hindi movies.

Known for having access to dressing room of the IPL teams, police has alleged that Vindu was probably the middleman who involved cricketers and bookies from India as well as neighboring country, Pakistan.

The latest scandal that has hit Indian cricket is also tainting several players, including international level player, S. Sreesanth, who is already known for his raging temper and his unfriendliness with most of the other cricket players.

The crime branch of Special Cell of Delhi Police is currently questioning Vindu and another casting director who sent photographs of models to Sreesanth. It is now believed that the actor and casting director were the ones who laid traps and lured cricketers to talk to betters and indulge in spot fixing.

Earlier, the special cell had arrested Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan along with Jiju on 15th May. It is considered that it was Chandila who was supposed to handle other cricketers and bring them to the betters.

All three cricketers and Vindu are currently alleged for spot fixing in at least three of the IPL matches, where the bowlers were supposed to give 14 runs in a single over and provide subtle signals for bookies to bet. Police has recovered electronic devices and 72,000 INR in cash from Sreesanth. They have also come across the fact that the pacer indulged in shopping for 1.95 lacs INR. During the recovery, they seized photographs of several models.

At this point of time, Vindu has been booked under sections 420, 465 and 466 along with 467 and 468 of IPC. He has been charged with cheating and forgery and is currently in police custody till May 24th. It is believed that Vindu himself indulged in betting.

The call data records have revealed that the actor was in touch with absconding bookie and may have helped him to escape to Dubai. The bookie, Pawan Jaipur and others are wanted in connection to different fixing cases.
