And a company started and now after 25 years this is India’s #2 software company.

There is a twist in the story too, Ashok Arora, one of the founding fathers opted out of the company in 1988. The company almost went bankrupt. N R Narayanamurthy had decided to keep faith in his vision.

During 1992 era of economic reforms, the company did raise money about twelve crore from public issues.

After just seven years, the company earned $ 100 million revenues and got listed in the NASDAQ.

However, Infosys took twenty-three years to cross the $ 1 billion-mark in 2004. It was the story of just twenty-three months to hit the next billion.

The trustees of the Infosys Employees Welfare Trust are planning to distribute amount of Rs 126 crores to the beneficiaries as a mark of the silver jubilee.
