Chandigarh, June 16: Indian National Student Organisation(INSO) has called for role back of the hike in diet chart of the University hostels and the canteens at the student centre. Student activists INSO protested in front of Vice-Chancellor`s office today against the hike and raised their voice against this anti student step of the university authorities. INSO delegation also submitted a memorandum to the PU Dean Students Welfare Mr. Naval Kishore, who came to the spot as he came to know about the protest.
DSW gave full assurance of looking into the matter and do the best in favour of the students and a senior member of INSO Rohit and a student of History department was made the member of the committee which will look into the matter and will represent student community in the meeting which shall be held soon.

INSO has been raising the voice for the student`s causes from time to time and as the inflation has hit the nation. INSO suggested the new ways to tackle this kind of problems to the authorities for the larger benefit of students community and the university and this time also INSO has suggested to decrease the rent taken from the canteen holders at student centre and as well as the mess contractors,so that student are not made the victim as had been in the past, said Mr.Vikas Rathee, President, State Unit INSO.

President of Campus Unit INSO, Deepak Hooda said that such kind of anti student decisions are not acceptable and students of PU would not tolerate any kind of hike in any kind of fee or the funds taken from the students. He disclosed that INSO will consider to organise sit on strike if our demands were not met.
