The world is full of weird things. When we think we know it all suddenly some new facts are revealed to us. The same applies when it comes to pets. We all have heard about cats , dogs, parrots n being kept as pets. But here’s a look at some of the most unique pets of the world-
Capybara
This is a unique pet which is related to the guinea pig . this is the largest rodent in South America. They need a lot of space to live . since they are semi-aquatic therefore adequate water spaces must also be provided to them.
Stick insect
This is yet another unusual pet. It generally grows up to 3 or 4 inches in length and keeping it quite beneficial for the environment around you. A cool temperature needs to be maintained and also the water must be changed very frequently.
Miniature donkey
This is being treated as a pet for quite some time now. They are about 3 feet tall and weigh around 300-350 pounds. Dry shelter and adequate green pasture is a must for them. Their hooves must be trimmed from time to time and vaccines must also be given.
Hedgehogs
This is also a weird choice when it comes to pets. They require very little or no maintenance at all. They also eat the insects which are present around us thus having a hedgehog as a pet is advantageous. They grow up to 15 inches.
Pygmy goat
Pygmy goats aren’t as high maintenance as standard goats, but they still require shelters that are at least 8 by 10 feet (2.4 by 3 meters) with 4-foot (1.2 meters) high fencing. They are very sociable and are happier in a herd atmosphere or with other pygmies to befriend. A balanced diet for these creatures includes grass hay, brush and leaves. While most livestock vets will treat pygmy goats, you should locate one before bringing home your unique pet.
Potbellied pig
Potbellies like a regimented schedule, so exercise and mealtimes should be at the same times every day. According to veterinary experts, they have a tendency to become obese, so it’s important to maintain a balanced diet and make sure that they get plenty of exercise. Potbellies can be trained to walk on leashes, so you can walk your pig the same way you would a dog for daily activity.
