Gujarat govt’s another shocking confession, ‘Kausar Bi killed and Burnt after Sohrabuddin’s fake encounter’

In another startling confession by the Gujarat government before the Supreme Court, it has accepted that Kausar Bi was killed and her body was burnt within few days of the encounter of her husband Sohrabuddin Sheikh.

Earlier, in a terrifying revelation, the Gujarat government had accepted that the state police had killed Sohrabuddin Shiekh in a fake encounter in November 2005.

Later, Gujarat Police arrested three senior Indian Police Service Officers for their involvement in November 26, 2005 fake encounter. DG Vanjara and Rajkumar Pandyan are the IPS officers from Gujarat cadre and Dinesh Kumar, the third IPS officer, is from Rajasthan cadre.

According to the report, Vanjara was the Director of Anti-Terrorism Squad and Rajkumar Pandyan was the SP (ATS). Dinesh Kumar was with the Rajasthan Special Task Force (STF) at that time when the fake encounter had taken place.

Now, KTS Tulsi, counsel for the Gujarat government, told the Supreme Court that the government came to know after the interrogation of the three IPS officials arrested in connection with the case that Sohrabuddin’s wife Kausar Bi was killed after few days of the fake encounter of her husband. Later, her body was burnt.

According to the CID (Crime) probe that was conducted by Geetha Johri, Sheikh was killed in Jamiatpura village on November 26 and his wife was moved to another farmhouse in Gandhinagar. She was on the night of November 28 in a house in the Aham Bungalows on the Koba-Adalaj Road.

The report says further that Nearly 400 kg of wood was bought from Bhagwati Timbers and the body was then burnt in the presence of Vanjhara.

Now, Gujarat government’s confession has sparked strong reactions from every part of the country and from the political circle as well. Congress has demanded for a CBI inquiry to know who was actually behind the state killings.
