In an Oct. 8 story about a woman struck by ammunition that fired accidentally from her stove, The Associated Press, relying on a report by the Peninsula Daily News, reported erroneously that the fragment came from a 22-gauge shotgun shell. The woman, Cory Davis, told the AP on Thursday the ammunition was for a .22-caliber rifle. The corrected version of this story appears below.
