ZANU PF: MDC "Enemies Of The Revolution'
There will come a time when Mugabe's tenure over Zimbabwe will be written into the history books, and I sincerely hope that when that happens, that the scribe includes the viciousness of his rule, the violence of his party and his threats on the very people who he desires to rule – nay, dominate, persecute and see to an early grave.
A political party, whether in power of not, should not be given the room to threaten the electorate, their political opponents or the very livelihood of those that live in their shadow.
If ever we were unsure of Mugabe's party's intransigence and their determination to regain power in Zimbabwe, democratically or not, then this article should convince us...

"A leading enforcer for Defence Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa has vowed to deliver the Kwekwe parliamentary seat back to his master in polls that are likely in Zimbabwe by the end of the year.
ZANU PF's Provincial Secretary for Security, Owen Ncube, alias Muda Mugabe, believed to be a CIO operative, made the threats as he assumed the role at the end of 2010, with former ZBC broadcaster and Mberengwa legislator Makhosini Hlongwane as his deputy.
In December, Mnangagwa threw a lavish bash for Ncube, where he showered him with praises.
"I will see to it that ZANU PF reclaims all the wards that were taken in Kwekwe and Gweru by the MDC. I will quash the MDC because they are enemies of the revolution," Ncube said."
For 'reclaim' read 'physically wrestle control'...
This is how ZANU PF works. If anything, the only change is that they are giving public notice of their intentions. This is the nature of the beast. Their self-importance is so great that they feel no fear in announcing their intention to oppress, beat, arrest, torture and murder anyone who stand in their way.
And the fact that they control the police and the law courts means that any case will be decided in their favour.
"Efforts to get comment from Mnangagwa's rival, Kwekwe MP Blessing Chebundo were in vain despite messages being sent to his mobile number. However, sources within the MDC-T here said Ncube was known to carry out his threats of violence.
In the 2000 elections Ncube was the ZANU PF district security chief for Mnangagwa's constituency. He mobilised a gang that abducted Chebundo and doused him with petrol. Efforts to set him alight failed after the bungling assassins could not find matches."
Mnangagwa has stated publicly that only a Mugabe win is acceptable in the next election.
The fact that the MDC won the last parliamentary elections in March 2008 seems to have not registered with Mugabe's party, who ensured that their leader kept the top job through violence and mayhem in the run-up to the second round of the Presidential election of the same year, forcing Tsvangirai to withdraw and Mugabe to proceed uncontested.
ZANU PF are quite happy to give the Zimbabwean people – the majority of which are virtual prisoners in their own land – due warning and notice of their violent intentions. Not only should this be illegal in any country, but that they do it so brazenly should be noted by the democratic world and steps taken to prevent the carrying out of such duplicity.
But, for reasons best known to the free world, no one is prepared to take on Mugabe and put an end to his despotic rule.
