Naushad Ahmad has blogged an heroic deed by 19 year old Imran who saved two Hindu boys by drowning himself. Ranipur is a village in Siwan District. Imran was to celebrate the Ramzan Eid that has to be celebrated on 10 September, and he bought new clothes from Siwan.
Sept 1 proved a fatal tragedy for Imran who saved two drowning boys of his village around 1.30 afternoon. The yelling of two boys so pathetic that Imran sensed danger near the pond and within minutes he rushed to save the drowning boys, jumping into the pond despite he himself did not know swimming and all the more he was observing fast, one of the five tenets in Islam. He made a “jihad” (real meaning of this Arabic word is “struggle” but not terrorize) or he made a fierce struggle to save the boys and did save them. Alas he died.
The villagers aghast combed the entire pond to find Imran the dead body for an hour. Final operation of search continued and after a strenuous effort dead Imran was found, and the hospital where he was rushed stated “brought dead”
For selfless souls, wherein no bias is inlaid, sacrifice of self is not a matter.
