You would take it as a very simple thing to do, to send an abusive message via mobile phone to someone who has wronged you, but you just have to be too cautious on the words you use lest you be charged in a court of law over words that cost you less than five shillings.

The latest incident involving a woman who sent abusive messages to her ex-lover is a clear indication that the Kenya Communication Act No 4 of 2008 is out to curb the vice.
The woman is now awaiting a courts decision in remand after the sms's that the judge termed salacious. This came months after another woman was charged over such messages, she was fined shs 30,000 over a shs 3.50 sms.Lovers be on the look out on the kind of sms's when angry with your ex-partner.
