I have been monitoring people's comments after Kibaki's unexpected mini reshuffle of the Cabinet and the debate especially on Face Book seems to be fully charged with a certain group thinking that 'their people were being mistreated or being pushed out of the government quietly'.
Kibaki has moved William Ruto from the powerful agriculture ministry to Higher Education docket, swapping places with Dr Sally Kosgei but Kenyans feelings can never go wrong this is a big demotion.
A statement from State House Nairobi said the President made the decision following consultations with Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Also affected by the reshuffle is Belgut MP Charles Keter – a trusted ally of Mr Ruto - who has been sacked.
Both have stated they will reject the Constitution and have been mobilising their constituents to vote ‘No’. Kimunya will act as minister for transport in addition to his current portifolio as trade minister . This was however expected with the ever rising political rivalry between Raila and Kibaki.
