Will the Lokpal Bill see the end of the tunnel, with current raging controversies?
There appears to be a long winding road ahead before we can see the Lokpal Bill passed officially. The culprits of any kind of misdeeds will never be a part of constituting a disciplinary act.
If that is correct, how can we expect the ruling party or even the opposition to sit and decide a law that is likely to implicate them under corruption cases immediately? In my opinion, forming a committee itself was a mere formality to assuage the feelings of voters as the ruling party was facing election prospects in the states and in the center eventually.

It is evident from the so called CD revelations and a Public Interest Litigation filed in front of the Supreme Court contesting the validity of constituting an external committee to decide a legislative issue. The efforts seem to lead to either delay the process or totally derail the bill in its nascent stage.
There is no political will to see the bill passed as most of the politicians are likely to be affected by passing such a bill. Anna Hazare's lonely battle is thus mired in conflicts. It is not likely to happen at all.
With the judiciary and legislators trying to tarnish each other, poor voters are left with no alternative but to teach the politicians a lasting lesson in the next elections. I read a lot of forum comments where several people have expressed great views. What common people write in such forum are amazing and worth notice at the highest level.
We cannot be mute spectators to the silent burial of these kinds of initiatives.
