In the G20 meeting to be held on 2nd April 2009, Russia and China were co-coordinating proposals on a new global currency that could replace the dollar as a reserve currency to prevent a repeat of the global economic crisis. The move is intended to end the dollar dominance and world reliance on it, which, as the propagating countries say, will not only prevent the future economic crisis but will also ward off the possibility of crises to spill over the whole world next time.
