Why was Pakistan Accused in Mumbai Blasts? Will there be a War?

POLITICS. .

This question may appear stupid to Pakistani audience as they strongly believe that India had no other way, except blaming Pakistan for the mishap, to deviate the attention of its public from their security lapse and the failure of its top security officers in stopping such an incident from taking place. However, this question needs to be taken seriously; considering it as a scientific hypothesis to be tested for whether or not it is true. I personally believe, and most readers may agree with me, that India wasn’t definitely bitten by a mad dog to scream and slam Pakistan for Mumbai blasts at once. Why didn’t the Indians, for example, name any other group or country with which India doesn’t enjoy good relations? Why didn’t they even point a finger at Malaysia although the Indian Media reported that they have found Malaysian passports indicating that the attackers had come from Malaysia. Why Pakistan? Smoke rises from the place that has caught fire. And politicians that would shout the slogans of success in building trust amongst the two governments started using the pre-negotiation language. What went wrong? Do these guys need to mend their thoughts and minds?

Pakistan played a role in the cold war by lending its territory to American CIA and Afghan Mujaheedin in defeating the strong forces of the USSR. Later, it established its rule on Afghanistan through the fanatic Taliban regime in neighboring Afghanistan which had traditionally been a close friend of India and still claims to be so after the US invasion and the toppling of Taliban regime in the closing days of 2001. India has been playing an active role, reportedly, in masterminding RAW activities inside Pakistan, especially in the FATA region and Baluchistan province, by fueling nationalist movements. India must have come to suggest that Pakistan must have done it as a retaliatory act. Pakistani agencies have also directed allegations towards the Indian involvement in the unrest in FATA and Baluchistan for the same reason.

In my previous article, I had mentioned that India has historically blamed Pakistan for all acts of terrorism within its soil and not surprisingly a friend from India commented that the Pakistani government and its spying agencies have been involved in such acts. However, I was surprised to note that he couldn’t even name a single incident in which it would have been established that the Pakistani government had really played a role in any terrorist act inside India.

Well, what I understand from the prevailing situation where Pakistan is still under a threat of war from India and Pakistani politicians brought their heads together on how to come out of this situation yesterday. I’m convinced that no one is interested in fighting another meaningless war. The South Asian politicians are again firing in the air and trying to play with the patriotic emotions of the citizens of both countries. The civilians on both sides of the border should mock at their politicians and just start building friendships and strengthen ties with each other because people-people interaction can remove all the clouds of doubts and let the sun of peace prevail over this unfortunate sub-continent that has inherited the British Policy of 'Divide and Rule'.

Now what we need is to stop accusing one another and work for a better and prosperous South Asia. Why should there always be a feeling of distrust amongst the two neighbors who share the same language and culture? Why can’t they move forward constructively? Why don’t politicians come up with ideas of bringing the two nations closer? Why shouldn’t the common man benefit from each other’s expertise? Why should always these two poverty stricken nations go to war? Why should they always build huge military weaponries for their safeguard? Why should they head to wars? Why not to peace and development? Why not to trust and prosperity?
