First jet management & then Rico unions are always the red flag to the management. Partly because they think that the approach of unions is not constructive.
The situation gets complicated when outsiders having no stake in the viability of the unit barge. In & negotiate with management. In order to raise their stock among workers they make impossible demands & arm twist the management in submitting to their whims.
From labor commissioner to politicians to police all are reluctant to take strong steps against workers. So they become proverbial son in laws when the management stakes it's fortune & labor having all the option to shift else where as has been seen in Singur as also in Bombay textile mills under data samant under political patronage workers think only of their rights & not of their duties.
Time is ripe when both sit together & sort out all the issues keeping the long term interest of the industry in view.
