When Racism Invades Human Brain
I was going through an online forum last night. The forum is related to animals, where people send in different questions related to their pets and post their (pets) photos…etc. However, there is also a section for general random chatting that goes on between members of the forum. Being signed up to the forum, I always go through the sections of interest, yet I take a glance or two to other sections with posts of attractive titles. Doing my usual tour for something interesting to read, I found a post sent in by a lady, asking people to raise a glass for all of the troops in Afghanistan, who will be spending the New Year’s evening away from their families and loved ones. Other members commented below with wishes and prayers to those troops. I sent in a little prayer too, but I guess it was not as good as one of the members thought it should be (me and my big mouth), especially as he could tell that I was posting from Amman/Jordan.
I asked them to raise a glass to all of those innocent civilians who lost family members and loved ones due to such wars; ones where troops are supported, and civilians are not even acknowledged simply because they are thought of as less worthy of living.

I think my little wish to the civilians was not very much appreciated by that specific member who attacked me by throwing a “suicide bombers” comment n my face, let alone the disrespectful comments that were directed at me personally, the girl posting from Jordan (probably someone he sees as a threat to the world).
This man was so angered by the fact that I acknowledged the presence of innocent civilians where the troops are fighting. His idea of Afghanistan (and probably other countries in that “distant” part of the world) is so twisted to the point where he does not want anyone to acknowledge the presence of innocent people there who deserve to be mentioned and prayed for.
After reading the anger in this man’s comments, I have nothing to say but this:
I REALLY hope that this man never makes it to a political position, as we have enough wars in this world as is…
