When Jokes Learn to Walk
Arabs seem to be enjoying a huge sense of humor during these rough times, coming up with jokes, and scribbling funny comments all over their Facebook walls. However, the case is a bit different with the Libyan Qathafi; jokes are really not necessary, as the guy himself is a living walking joke.
A number of lines have been written here and there on Facebook and different forums as Qathafi’s pearls of wisdom. I honestly am not sure whether they all belong to him (maybe they are mere exaggeration of his obvious stupidity). But I have to say I am more leaning towards believing them, especially after reading two pages of his famous “Green Book” where he explained that the difference between a woman and a man is that the woman experiences a menstrual cycle on a monthly basis, while a man doesn’t… I know for sure that some of them do belong to the genius himself as I have heard them from the man himself…
Anyhow, I will put down the translation for those popular words of wisdom for your enjoyment, go on and have a giggle; I know we could all use it at the last day of the month:
•I am not a dictator to shut down Facebook, but I will arrest whoever signs in on it.
•You may protest as you wish, but do not go out on the streets.
•The act of obeying your parents is more important than your own parents.
•The main reason for divorce is marriage=====>Hell yeah.
•A woman could run for a political position whether she was a male or a female===> this mean really has an issue with males and females, an issue of confusion I believe :S
•Democracy means: Keep the (presidents on their) chairs===> Explanation: “Demo” in Libyan dialect means “keep”. While “Caracy” in Arabic means “chairs”…. Pure genius… Now I’ve seen this on a video so I know he really said it.
