What Would You Do If You Had Your Own Country?

LIFESTYLE. .

I came across a certain question on the "ASK YAHOO", which I thought is nice to put up here... It would be nice of me to make people laugh, or at least smile, wouldn't it... so there you go the question:

Dear Yahoo!:

I want to establish my own country. Is there any unclaimed land?

Paul

San Francisco, California

LOL LOL

I don't know about you, but I find this funny... However, if we come to think of it; the guy has some logic in this, I mean, wouldn't you all love to have a place to call your own, where you make the rules, where you don't have to abide by laws that do not give special attention for the individuality of people... I sure would like that...

What would I do if I had my own country?

hmmm... I think that:

-I would create some kind of a test that measures the level of ethics of people who apply for an immigration into the country, and only those who score above a preset number would be let in.

- I would give away food for free. And it will all be made from the goods of my land.

-Medical care will also be free of charge.

-I would plant it all with different kinds of plants and trees.

-Animals would also be invited in.

-I would only allow environment-friendly tools and appliances in, starting with transportation means, and ending with deodorants.

-I would educate everyone on my land, and by education, I mean real education; where people learn how to think, rather than prepare then programme them to carry out professional careers; an option that could be taught later on based on individual choices.

-I would create an army and a police station to keep security inside and about the country at a maximum rate. (Although a police station is less likely to be needed considering my earlier mentioned "Ethical" admission test :P, yet I will follow Maslow's hierarchy of needs and keep security a priority).

-I would hire a team that consists of scientists of different specialties, as well as people who score the highest on their ethics-admission-test to look into any matters that may come up as life goes on.

-We of course can't forget all the facilities that we find in any country; i.e.: places of worship, and entertainment for all ages and which suit all individual needs and interests.

-Hmmmm.... what else? Can't currently think of anything else; Well, these are the basic things that are going through my mind at the moment, but the list will remain prone to changes and additions.

-So, now it's your turn; what would you do if you had your own country?

Any Ideas? Anyone? :)
