WE WANT A SEPARATE STATE...

I wonder if it is an irony or intelligence to ask for a separate state by political parties within India. They are asking for Telangana, they are asking for Gorkhaland, they are asking for Vidarbh, Kamptapur, Greater Cooch Behar and what not... Is it necessary???

If we think globally then, U.S.A has some 70+states and Russia has some50+states and all of them are doing very well governed in a more systematic manner. India has almost 30 states and if the ruling party is in favour of new states then by the end of their term it will surely give Russia a tough competition. But is it necessary???

Has the Central government failed to handle this country as one, such that it wants itself to be carved into pieces. I wonder how will the map look like with say 70+states...Why are such demands arising...They are in the name of development and identity crisis,etc...But if the centre instead of carving states creates a committee, not SRC(State Reorganising Committee),with funds allocated to it see into the matter. See if they are really lagging behind other parts of the country then funding them would be good? A seperate state means lot of money for sure, but will this money reach the necessarry people???

There already are states in India which are doing bad..The CM's are busy filling their pockets neglecting the peoples necessity. Separate state is not a necessity in todays India, it has become more of a luxury...If the parties are so worried about development then they can do that without separation.. They surely must be having M.P's and M.L.A's that represent them in the parliament and they can raise isuues regarding develpoment which I am sure the Government will look into.But instead these representatives are used to blackmail the ruling party that they will withdraw support and lead to the downfall of the party...I dont think it is child's play.
