Was the Iraq war worth it?

It was a long time of seven years before U.S. finally ended its mission in Iraq. What exactly was the mission, that’s still unclear though… It all started with a belief that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction which were never found. So many years spent in vain. Thousands of troops were killed along with thousands of civilians and still nothing was achieved. Instead violence in Iraq is increasing day by day. Most of the troops have been withdrawn by the U.S. and Iraqis are still not happy with it. Their country is in a mess due to internal violence.
