Teasing in my eyes means the gestures ,borne out of sadistic mindset, which fall in the realm of sexual exploitation.This is much different from the normal exchange of remarks that’s quite common between opposite sexes. For me these type of remarks do not pose any threat as that’s part and parcel of relationship between the opposite sexes.
The problem begins when such normal gestures change the form and attain a shape that begins to create problem or pain for a particular section of the society .The problem is that whereas we start equating sexual exploitation with rape but when it comes to teasing it simply gets equated with normal exchange of remarks.
I feel that eve-teasing also comes in the category of sexual exploitation. I have referred to the term ”teasing” merely to honour the norms of decency while having a take on the issue. According to me whispered obscenities ,obscene gestures and groping fall in the category of teasing. The list is endless.I am of the opinion that these gestures also fall in the league of grave offense.If no effort is made to curb the rise of such lewd gestures then these very gestures ,sooner or later, lead to crime like rape.
