The American ambassador to Morocco, Mr. Samuel Kaplan, has expressed “distress” about the way the Moroccan authorities expelled Americans for proselytizing. He said that the Moroccan government ‘violates fundamental rules of due process” when it refused a hearing for those expelled.
The American ambassador should keep his cheap lecture to his country for all the evils it’s been doing in the world. Be a Christian, Jew, Muslim or Dalai Lama, if you don’t respect the law then be ready to face the consequences and there should be no exceptions just because the offenders are Americans. Morocco is a sovereign country and doesn't owe anything to anyone. Moroccan government is there to protect the land and the culture; if they can’t do that then they should leave.
These expelled foreigners are lucky because they could be in prison by now for breaking the law. They talk as if Morocco is after the non Muslims to kick them away from the country just to cover up their shameful act of converting less than 10 year-old kids. I wouldn’t mind if they were preaching to grown up people, belief is something personal and everyone has the right to believe in whatever he thinks is right. This “charitable group” had one mission since the first day they sat foot in this village: Evangelizing children especially the illegal babies.They had their intermediaries get in touch with women in trouble, and poor families in order to tempt and entice them into giving away their kids to the institution, pretending that these kids would be well off at the educational and the material levels. This “orphan” as some workers from within the institution has stated, had as a mission statement: Jesus loves you but Mohammed hates you. They would put beautiful gifts in different places and tell the adopted children “aww look at what Jesus brought you”. Later they would steal them, and tell the kids that “the Prophet of Muslims has stolen them”.
For those preachers to go to the poorest place in Morocco and preach their faith to poor orphan kids is pathetic. If they believe their religion is the true one- they have all the right to think that way- then why to keep the millions of atheists in their countries and go to the poorest places in the world to preach to 10 year-old kids, I find that hypocritical. There are millions of poorer Christian kids in Africa and even in Palestine, if they really want to help why to look only for Muslim kids and try to Christianize them? Imagine a non profit Muslim group taking a group of orphans in some remote red-redneck area in the US and taking care of them, they will be automatically labelled as a terrorist group and link them to Al-Qaeda then send them to the no man’s land. A school in New York wanted to add a learning session about Arabs and Arabic cultural (not ISLAM), People got out to the street against it.
To the American ambassador, stop treating Moroccans as second class human beings, stop insulting Moroccans’ intelligence. Maybe Morocco is still a developing country (according to your standards) but who said Moroccans have the IQ of a fruit fly? We can still know how to distinguish right from wrong; we can read, write, think and make our own minds.
The last country in the world to talk about law is USA and if they want to defend their citizens then they should defend Rachel Corrie, an activist student who was killed by an Israeli bulldozer, they crushed her like a rat when she was protesting against the home demolitions. Israel has killed a lot of Americans and European activists and nobody says one damn word. Instead, Biden went to Israel to support the Israeli’s settlement on the Palestinian lands in the same time Rachel's family seeks for damages from Israel and guess what he gets in return, A slap on his face “again”. When the US citizens are killed in Israel it's okay but when Morocco is applying the law within its territory America opposes just because the law breakers are Americans. I don't give a damn to what this ambassador says and he can kiss my toe, for the first time in my life I agree with the Moroccan government and I hope they don't chicken out and take this decision back. The US is full of homeless and poor people, a lot of people die out of hunger and cold there, they can go help their people instead of taking advantage on poor kids just to convert them.
