UP at it again, Agenda Elections-2012.

Hard core realities and the dilemma of the voters on UP elections.

Maya is again signaling the leaders of higher communities in her party that it’s only dalit who matters for her and rest of the communities and castes she is using for reaming in power. She has yet to name memorials and hospitals etc. in the name of non dalits. When desertions will take place in her party no one knows. Well it might happen just before the elections due in 2012.

Brahmins who supported her in last elections will find it very difficult going with her. As far Rajputs are concerned then one could say that Jai Chand Rathores of Kannauj have always been there in the community. They are known for their betrayal acts as history would reveal in the case of Prithaviraj Chauhan. Jats and Gurjjars would never be able to come round her party. Remaining force is that of Muslims which are likely to go over to congress in next elections. Caste should not be factor in any elections but it is hard core fact that the UP politics always revolved around castes only. For the electorates it hardly matters whether development or no development of the State. Surely there could be winning arguments if suitable strategies are put in place to expose poor law and order, shortage of electricity, poor management agriculture resources, village connectivity and heath care of villagers, social security covers for all economically weaker population of the society irrespective caste affiliations.

Rajput voters need not worry on this development. They should concentrate on two issues namely giving a good and attractive leadership with mass appeal and create hate in the minds of electorates of Yadav lead terror on all other castes in the State when Mulayam Singh was in power. If they come out winner on these two counts they would emerge as winners in next elections. The next elections will caste large shadows over the fate of tow leaders namely Mayawati and Mulaym Singh Yadav. BJP is non starter and will not pose ant serious threat but they can always give surprises by bringing Ram Temple issue in the fore front. But their game plan is well exposed now and people are just not interested in it any more.

But there are warning signals for Congress too as prices of essential commodities are ever on the increase and not coming under check at all. Govt. and Congress should go to the people and explain the reasons well behind the recent acts of decontrol of petroleum products and how it could link it with poor’s living conditions. They have to come clean on development plan on Agriculture especially for UP and the package if any exist in their scheme of things as UP is still primarily agrarian population. Higher growth trajectory would place Congress in better position.

Congress traditionally known to have encouraged the prices when ever they were in power and this myth has to be boldly answered well in advance to take air out of any likely campaign.

Today, the Congress is best placed party as compared with others.
