Strange but true, we humans are always and since ancient times have been duped by the so called messengers of God and still continue to do so.The so called witch doctors and tantriks have been there since stone ages and we continue to prostrate before them.
The so called God man called Nityanand from South have been shown frolicking with a young South Indian Actress and clearly enjoying himself a opposite to the belief that such persons have given up the worldly pleasures to pursue the path of eternal freedom or Moksh. In fact they are forever exhorting people to leave the path of love and lust to be nearer to God.
The so called Ichadhari Baba, Swami Bhimanandji Maharaj a former security gaurd and having criminal cases against him had the gullible public mesmerised with his knowledge of religious text but was also running a very very successful sex racket.
Than this tragedy at Kunda where 63 innocent lives were lost because another such Guru Kripalu Maharaj wanted to pay respects to his departed wife and had organised a feast to mark her first death anniversary. The poor kids and women lost their lives for a meagre Rs 50/- token gift. One of the TV channels asked the Ashram's representatives as to who was responsible for their deaths and they put all the blame squarely on God saying it was his will.
The so called Swamis, Babas and their ashrams with untold wealth all accumulated because of our weakness. We continue to support them through thick or thin. Whenever we are in any problem instead of taking the right and hard way to solve it we try the short cut. Listening to the beautiful preaching which sounds good in theory but cannot be practically applicable we forget that we and only we can overcome our problems through hard work. We return home assured that if Baba has said everything will be alright than it will be.We stop working towards its solution.
