The United Nations is seeking $187 million from donor nations to help cyclone survivors in Myanmar.
U.N. officials said Friday the pledges are needed to provide food, water purification tablets and other supplies for at least 1.5 million people over the next three months.
Kyaw Tint Swe, Myanmar’s U.N. ambassador, says his country intends to cooperate with the international community. But, he says, the response has to be orderly and systematic.
