Since midweek Reynosa citizens from every colony have united in Twitter to give 24 hour real time updates on happenings within their beloved city. They alone have taken on what no other local media has dared: Reporting, debunking and confirming suspicious acts, roadblocks, gunfire, grenade attacks, and kidnappings 2 warring mega cartels. They are the eyes, ears, and guardians of many, if not all.

While the Governor of Tamaulipas Eugenio Hernandez and Mayor of Reynosa Oscar Luebbert Gutiérrez have tucked themselves safely into American sister towns and continue to downplay Reynosa's 'tweets' to mere rumors and 'collective psychosis', Mexican twitterers have produced unpublished photographic evidence of realities. Reynosa's mayor claims the photos are photo-shopped rumors. You be the judge.
