Transparency International: Afghanistan is the World’s 3rd Most Corrupt Nation on Earth
A fresh assessment has identified Afghanistan as the ‘3rd most corrupt country on earth’.

The new findings of Transparency International have recently been published that enlists war-hit countries on the top of the list. Though Somalia stands firm on the 1st spot followed by Burma on the second position, Afghanistan has managed to stick to its position i.e., the 3rd most corrupt nation on earth. While Iraq that saw US invasion in 2003 on the 4th position strengthens the findings of Transparency International that war-hit and poor countries are prone to the worst kinds of corruption.
The assessment carried out in over 170 nations also brings forth names from the most developed nations though at the bottom of the list.
Afghanistan government confirms corruption in its offices and administration but maintains that the fight against this evil is going on. The report though shows that the so-called anti-corruption fight has had no tangible results yet and Afghanistan holds the second runner-up position that puts the nation in shame.
