Touched By An Outsider Woman Ostracised From Community
What happens when you are travelling in a public bus or train as usual bursting at seams to accomodate as many passengers as you can because money counts and the tragedy of passengers is to reach their destination as soon as possible. Everyone is rubbing shoulders with every and anyone without any discrimination of sex, caste, creed, colour, even age. Some desparate creatures tend to take advantage of such situation, but than you get off the bus shrugg off and continue on your journey.

What happened in Mangrul Chavala village, around 50km from Amravati in UP which by the way is ruled by a woman Mayawati is bizzare. Parsanta Pawar belonging to Pardhi caste supposedly a low caste lives in Pardhi Beda in Mangrul Chavala village, which is located in Nandgaon Khandeshwar tehsil. The tehsil faces acute water shortage.Due to the problem, some youngsters in the community dug a borewell in the school on the premises of zilla parishad, which was used by the Pardhi community and the school’s students.
Enter the group education officer Ram Halde He visited the school for an inspection on 28th January. Despite being an Educated man he objected the Pardhi women using the water from the same borewell as the higher caste people, not only that he was abusive and a heated exchange took place between him and women, they reported the matter to the police who for a change registered a complaint at the Nandgaon police station where a non cognisable offence was registered against Halde.
Maybe during the heated altercation Halde must have pushed Parsanta thereby touching her, this action was not accepted by the Pardhi Community who have now ostracised the poor woman allegedly claiming that now she was defiled and has become as untouchable as Halde because he belonged to another community. What is more shocking that the woman's husband is also supporting the boycott decision taken by the community.
Wow, if this was the case all the women working in cities and metros would be ostracised and become untouchable and here we are blaming other countries for practising racism.
Untouchability raising its ugly head once again.
