Those Gulf Royals

POLITICS. .

There really should a comedy sitcom dedicating to the lives of Persian Gulf princes. There is endless material for laughter. "Those Gulf Royals" would easily be the funniest and even more so when one would realize that it is all true.

A special award is due to these princes for the vapidity, stupidity, sex-obsession, and money-squandering exhibited by them. Saudi princes top the table. The stories here are endless: drugs, prostitution and idiot gifts. Just to illustrate by way of an example: One Saudi prince recently spent $50,000 on a gold-laced penis extender. They steal the oil money, refuse to work or even get a decent education and then squander a lot of it on stupid gifts for themselves while 30% of Saudis live in poverty.

And these Gulf royals are always willing to sell out themselves and their people for the affection of the White Man. They think that if they speak English they will be respected solely on this fact. They are always eager to be the puppets of someone for Washington and to be invited to think-tanks that are anti-Arab and anti-Muslim. And the key to this is Israel. Just say a nice word about Israel and then the Washington, hostile-to-Arabs-and-Muslims elite will welcome you to some indignity gathering.

The sons of Zayed, the ruling family of Abu Dhabi, are working very hard in that effort. The family has been targeting Palestinians from Gaza and Lebanese Shiites (because they refused to go back to Lebanon and spy on Hezbollah) on Israel and America's behalf. Harassing their own people on behalf of a nation that occupies and routinely kills Arabs and Muslims, and on behalf of a nation that invaded and killed hundreds of thousands of Arabs and Muslims in a was based on lies. These are the standards of the House of Zayed. And while Palestinians are prohibited from living the wrecked, blockaded, and starved Gaza Stripe by Israel and Egypt, the House of Zayed invites those blockading Israelis to dine in Abu Dhabi:

The Israeli flag was displayed on the table and on the pins of the country's delegates to the first International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) conference in Abu Dhabi this week.

The Israeli delegation took full part and was received graciously.

I would never share the same table let alone dine with representatives of the Israeli government. The atmosphere would entirely be ruined.

Now to the Saudi prince. There is the usual monetary corruption. Background: Prince Bander was the Saudi ambassador in Washington for nearly three decades, and was an important guest in the Georgetown party circle. He was influential in Washington (usually buying influence in many ways), and was incredibly close with the Bush family; so much so in fact that President Bush nicknamed him "Bander Bush":

Transocean, the world's largest offshore drilling company, was sued by a member of the Saudi royal family who claims he was cheated of his share of multimillion-dollar contracts won using his trade secrets. Soroof International Co., a Saudi trading agency run by Prince Bander Bin Abdullah Al Saud, claims Transocean reneged on a signed 2007 agreement that would have made the prince's firm Transocean's sole agent for pursuing drilling contracts with Aramco, the Saudi Arabian national oil company.

And then there is the entitlement. Gulf princes and royals (Arab or otherwise) in general have an entitlement. They really being to believe they are divinely blessed and how dare anyone challenge their standing and wealth. And if the rest of the world no longer needs to buy your wealth-producing product then they bust offer you monetary compensation. Unbelievable? Not for the Saudi prince imagination.

Saudi Arabia is trying to enlist other oil-producing countries to support a provocative idea: if wealthy countries reduce their oil consumption to combat global warming, they should pay compensation to oil producers.

This is incredibly. Where do they get the gull? So American taxpayers just pay "compensation" because - what? - Saudi princes have a right to continue their level a spending? It is a high crime to cut their money to drugs and brothels? What's this "compensation" bs? What nation goes around demanding to be "compensated" because people stop buying its resources. The stupidity.
