Seven years' rigorous imprisonment to a Bollywood actor! It’s really surprising. In India we can, in no way, get justice. Justice goes often in favour of money launder. Shiney Ahuja failed miserably. What a stupidity!
Rapes are not so serious crime now-a-says. Out of hundreds only a few are detected as a crime. Compensation to victims is simply out of question. Although some social-workers raise hue and cry to bring them to bay, there are many a flaw to save the situations.
Based on exact FIR (Judge P M Chouhan relied mainly upon the FIR), reporters were not allowed during the period of trial since the trial was held in-camera. Over and above, the judge felt that the victim had given false evidence she was not allowed inside during trial.
Oh, what a pity! 38-year-old Shiney was accompanied by his wife Anupam! Everybody attended the trial might have felt ashamed. However, while convicting the accused, Judge P M Chouhan relied mainly upon the FIR in the case, Shiney's lawyer Srikant Shivade told reporters who were not allowed in the court as the trial was held in-camera.
Clad in pink shirt and jeans, 38-year-old Shiney was accompanied by his wife Anupam in the court when the judgment was delivered. There were ‘tears in his eyes when the judge pronounced the order’. We wonder why not his eyes looked fiery. Was it any psychological upset thinking the worst of the situation evolved? Leave it.
Now let us think a little otherwise. The court did not accept the maid's evidence in the court that she was not raped. As the judge felt that she had given false evidence. The judge could have taken a serious offence against the maid. Here is peculiarity of justice. It’s a diverse issue and should be taken differently. Let us take a move.
Finally who is going to charge whom? The maid-servant tossed her head once being raped again denying the rape. Naturally, the court declared her hostile. However, how can a judge avoid the punishment of such a victim? Let Anupam, Shiney’s wife, file a case against the maid-servant. This is how we should restore the balance in our society.
