I had previously written about the Moronic (it deserves to be capitalized) twist of the puppet Bahraini foreign minister Khalid
The are numerous buffoons amongst Arab regimes, but high amongst the list is Bahrain’s foreign minister Khalid al-Khalifa. Bahrain is another American client in the region - its tiny island nation plays host to the Fifth Fleet - and one that has been growing more authoritarian in recent years, America’s ‘commitment’ to democracy promotion notwithstanding.
The man keeps a Twitter account and, as you may imagine, it is quite enlightening in its feeds. Here are some of the gems:

Met today with General the national security advisor.. Discussed bilateral issues, ME, Iran, Yemen. We see eye to eye on key issues

And now Jordan. Jordan is another America client - not ally, but client - which like Bahrain has gone from 'Partly Free' to 'Not Free' according to Freedom House - again, America commitment to democracy notwithstanding. America, of course, only cares about 'democracy' in the regimes it is opposed to: Iran, Syria and Iraq.
And Jordan has been a loyal client. Bahrain may host a military base, but Jordan sends its agents to Afghanistan on behalf of the United States and has handsomely been rewarded with $1billion annually.
