Five cops were espied partying with mafia dons at a party entertained by Mumbai Mafia, Chhota Rajan on Christmas Eve. This contentious party was hosted in a private gymkhana club in Chembur, a northeast Mumbai suburb.
The party followed abeyance of all the five policemen, which was successively followed by a recommendation of suspension made by the Mumbai police commissioner, Mr. D. Shivanandan to the state government. The police amassed decent grounds to deserve recommending the suspension.
DCP Vishwas Salve, ACP Prakash Wani, senior police inspector R.S. Khakale, Crime Branch inspector S. Khalatkar and assistant sub-inspector T. Salunkhe were the five police officers present at the party. Sujata Nikhalje, wife of don Chhota Rajan Nikhalje was the special guest at the party. Video-clips of the party, telecast by Mumbai TV channels, evidenced them feting with the outlaws on Christmas Eve.
According to the report posited by the police headquarters to the state government, the cops have been suspended to set an example for the entire state police force.
When the Chief Minister of Mumbai, Mr. Ashok Chavan ordered the suspension of the officers, DCP Vishwas Salve said that he is clean-handed and all the allegations against him are wild. He further added that he has not attended any such party.
It is an ignominy to the entire country to see how the cops are being allies with dons. Who will look after the law and order of the state, when the real dons are in the disguise of police? I have heard about Bollywood merry making with Mafia but not the police anytime. At one side, we have such a dedicated police who tackled the Mumbai attacks so boldly and at another side, we have such a Punic Police dancing to the tune of mafia.
