The Most Horrific Bank Robbery in Afghanistan Leaves Behind Six Beheaded
A group of ``armed robbers`` attacked a private bank in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif killing six people.

According to unfolding details this incident happened in the night of 2nd August in the capital city of Northern Province of Balkh, where the attackers looted currencies equivalent to 300,000 USD after killing six security personnel.
According to the Security Chief of the provincial capital the attackers first poisoned the security personnel and then beheaded them. He said that the robbers had preferred not to open fire.
Though extensive search and investigation has been launched according to the security officials of the city, the investigations haven`t yet provided any hint at the criminals of this heinous crime.
The private bank identified as KABUL BANK has branches across the major cities of Afghanistan and is one of the largest private banks operating in the country. The branch that has been the scene of this horrific incident is located as close as 10 meters to a police station in Mazar-e-Sharif.
Attacks on banks have been rare with only one more incident of such in 2006 in Kabul when Afghanistan International Bank came under attack by a group of armed men from a vehicle.
