The Dry Gujrat
Mr Narendra Modi the Chief Minister of Gujrat is an honest& dynamic man. I wonder why he is obstinate about not lifting prohibition.

Not only the exchequer will get much needed revenue sale of spurious liquor can also be curbed.
If it has some thing to do with bapu then the Gujrat riots must have caused tremendous hurt to him. For nonviolence was his mission in life. A god man is one who is sensitive to the suffering of others. Gets hurt at the misfortune of others & is never arrogant or boastful.
Vaishnav jan to.
Prohibition has worked no where in India as those addicted will find their drink some how. Even Indra Sabha had someras in plenty.
Yes alcohal if consumed in excess can cause havoc. Those addicted may need support. But prohibition will only make them pay more or drink spurious stuff.
I happen to be a teetotaler & have no interest in liquor trade apart from 2 shares in the company of Mr Mallaya costing less than Rs 200 in total.
But I can never close my eyes to reality. I know the situation is unlikely to change in a hurry but can always hope against the hope
